1872 Golf Club Membership Policy, Rules & Release

By purchasing a membership you ("Member") agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and every person covered by your membership. If you buy a household plan, you confirm you are authorized to agree for each covered household member, including minors.
1. Membership & eligibility
- The primary Member must be 18 or older, except on a junior plan bought by a parent or guardian.
- Your benefits depend on the membership tier you buy. That includes who is covered, bay time, booking limits, guests, events and coaching. They are as listed for your tier on the membership page or in your sign-up confirmation when you join. Where a tier covers a household, "household" means up to 2 adults plus children under 18 who live at the same address. The club may ask for proof of address.
- Memberships are personal and non-transferable. Benefits, bookings and door codes may not be sold, shared, or used by anyone not covered by the membership.
- A parent or guardian must buy any membership for a player under 18 and agree to these terms. A parent or guardian must also sign the 1872 Junior Waiver & Release (form.jotform.com/262815554585063) for every junior under 18 before the junior plays. Signing includes accepting financial responsibility for any damage the junior causes to club property. Juniors under 12 must have a parent or other adult on site for the whole visit. Juniors 12–15 may be dropped off. Juniors 16–17 may play on their own. Access hours, sibling add-ons and guest rates for junior plans are as listed for that plan.
2. Billing, renewal & cancellation
- Memberships are recurring subscriptions billed through Square to the card on file, plus applicable Texas sales tax. Monthly plans renew every month. Prepaid plans, where offered, renew automatically for the same term at the then-current prepaid rate.
- To cancel, give at least 15 days' written notice before your next renewal date (email 1872gc.gtx@gmail.com or tell the front desk). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Payments already made are non-refundable, including unused time on prepaid plans, except where the law requires otherwise.
- If a payment fails, access may be paused until the balance is paid. The club may change rates with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
- Promotional offers, such as a discounted first month, apply only on the terms stated when you sign up. Once a promotional period ends, your plan renews at your tier's regular rate. Members who joined at an earlier rate or on a legacy plan keep the rate and benefits the club confirmed to them in writing, for as long as their membership stays active.
- Moving to a different tier takes effect at your next billing date.
3. Bookings & bay use
- All play must be booked through the club's booking system. The number of active bookings you may hold, the maximum booking length and any included monthly bay hours depend on your tier. You may book your next session once your current one ends. Included monthly hours reset each calendar month and don't roll over. Bay time beyond any included hours is charged at the posted rate.
- Cancel bookings you can't use. Repeated no-shows or holding bays you don't use may lead to booking limits or suspension.
- Start and end on time so the next player isn't delayed. The club may block bays for leagues, events, private parties, maintenance and holidays.
4. Guests
- Any free guest allowance depends on your tier and applies per booking. Other guests are charged at the posted guest rate and must be paid for before play.
- The Member must be present for the entire guest visit and is responsible for guests' conduct, damage and fees. Every guest must accept the club's waiver before playing. The club may limit total people per bay for safety.
5. 24/7 member access & door codes
- Each booking comes with a door code that works only for that booking window. Never share codes, let in non-members, or prop doors open. Make sure the door closes and locks behind you.
- After-hours visits are unstaffed. Use the facility at your own risk, follow posted rules, and leave the bay clean with equipment and screens shut down as posted.
- The facility is monitored by video surveillance inside and out for security. Recordings may be reviewed for safety, damage and policy enforcement.
- In an emergency call 911 first, then the club at 512-887-2881.
6. Alcohol, food & conduct
- 1872 Golf Club holds a Texas alcohol permit. No outside alcohol is allowed at any time. Alcohol may only be bought from staff during bar hours. No alcohol service is available after hours, and no one under 21 may possess or drink alcohol. Staff may refuse service or ask anyone to leave.
- Keep drinks and food away from the hitting area, mat and screen. Glass is not allowed in the hitting zone.
- No smoking, vaping, drugs or weapons where prohibited by law or posted signs. Harassment, abusive language, fighting, theft or unsafe behavior can end your membership immediately.
7. Equipment & damage
- Use only clean, undamaged golf balls and clubs. No range balls, practice/foam balls, cracked clubs or metal spikes. Wipe club faces and balls before hitting.
- Only hit from the mat toward the screen. Check that the bay is clear before every swing and keep everyone else behind the hitter.
- Don't touch, move, unplug or change the simulator, launch monitor, projector, computers, cameras or settings beyond the normal player controls. Report problems to staff right away.
- Members are responsible for damage caused by themselves, their household or their guests beyond normal wear, including screens, projectors, launch monitors and furniture. The club may charge the card on file for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
8. Assumption of risk, release & indemnity
- Golf and golf simulators involve risks, including being hit by a ball or club, ricochets, slips and falls, and strain or overexertion injuries. You voluntarily accept these risks for yourself, your household members and your guests.
- To the fullest extent allowed by Texas law, you release Golf Ops LLC dba 1872 Golf Club, its owners, employees and agents from claims for injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property arising from use of the facility, including unstaffed after-hours use. This does not apply to claims caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct. You agree to indemnify the club for claims caused by you, your household members or your guests.
- The club is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property, including clubs left in the facility. Lost items are held for 30 days.
9. Leagues, Skins, events & coaching
- Included or discounted entries apply to bay time and entry fees as listed for your tier. Cash buy-ins and side pots are separate and voluntary. Included entries don't roll over to the next month. League and event rules are posted separately.
- Any coaching perks, such as assessments, clinics, lessons or lesson-pack discounts, depend on your tier. Lessons and clinics are booked in advance based on coach availability, are used by the primary member unless the club approves otherwise, and do not roll over to the next month or carry a cash value.
10. Photos, communications & privacy
- The club may take photos or video in the facility for marketing. Tell staff if you don't want to appear.
- You agree to receive membership, booking, billing and door-code messages by email and text. Marketing messages are optional and you can opt out anytime. The club does not sell your personal information.
11. Suspension, termination & changes
- The club may suspend or end any membership for breaking these rules, unpaid balances, code sharing, damage or unsafe conduct. Memberships ended for cause are not refunded.
- The club may update these rules and posted facility rules. Material changes will be emailed or posted at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept them.
- These terms are governed by Texas law, with venue in Williamson County, Texas. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
