This policy explains what information 1872 Golf Club ("we," "us") collects when you visit our websites, fill out one of our forms (including forms on Facebook and Instagram), book a bay, or become a member, and how we use it. We keep it simple: we use your information to run the club and stay in touch with you, and we do not sell it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone number and email address, plus any answers you choose to share (for example, who will be playing or the best time to call).
- Membership and booking details: your membership plan, household members on your plan, bookings and visit history.
- Payments: payments are processed by Square. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Website activity: pages you visit and buttons you click, collected through cookies and similar tools described below.
How we use it
- To contact you about the offer or question you asked about, including by phone call, text or email.
- To set up and manage your membership, bookings, billing and member door codes.
- To send club news, events and offers. Marketing messages are optional and you can opt out anytime.
- To measure and improve our advertising and website.
- To keep the club safe and to meet legal requirements.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
Our websites use the Meta Pixel and similar cookies. They tell Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone visits a page or taps a button, so we can measure our ads and show our ads to people who have shown interest in the club. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the club, and only for that purpose. These include Square (payments, memberships and email), Whoosh (bay bookings), Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads and lead forms), and Google (email and business tools). We may also share information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Texts, calls and emails
If you give us your phone number or email, you agree we may contact you about your request, membership and bookings. To stop marketing texts, reply STOP. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email. You can also call or email us and ask to be removed.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a member or in contact with us, and afterward only as long as needed for records, taxes and legal requirements.
Keeping it safe
We use trusted service providers and limit access to the people who need it to run the club. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our websites and forms are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Junior and household memberships are purchased by a parent or guardian.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email or call us using the contact details below and we will take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
